Dinner With My 2 Lovely Besties!

3 of us didn't meet up together since Mayvis left for China to finish up her attachment.

Finally...she is back!

We met at Raffles City, went to eat at the Japanese kind of Marche at Basement 1.

Let me intro these 2 lovely besties of mine.

Jing Yi with her grilled chicken and egg rice, the girl who eats salad for lunch from mondays to fridays, & she slimmed down!



This is my Unagi Rice, nice! and the taste is still lingering in my mouth, feel like eating more!!!!

We had noting to do after dinner, so just take PICS!! We sat here for almost 3hrs!!

~Veggies Veggies & More Veggies!~

I really love veggies so much now!They are crunchy and make me feel real refreshed! So all fonts for this post shall be in greenie colour!

Organic stuffs supplier will send veggies to my house weekly. This week I ordered some special stuffs.



Mesculin salads, Dou Miao, Bai Cai, Nai Bai & Beetroot to make juices(not in the pic)


These 2 are the special ones...


Buckwheat Sprouts (to be added into salads) there's a kind of sweet grassy taste when eaten alone...


Alfafa Sprouts (to be added into salads too) I love the name! Alfafa Alfafa so cute!


My lunch for today...Mesculin salad with Buckwheat and Alfafa Sprouts + my favourite Blueberries! My only dressing is extra vigin olive oil...some pple tink that extra virgin oil have a kind of weird taste. I thought so in the beginning, but i'm starting to get use to it.

All these are definitely beneficial to our health! Anyone wanna try??

I'm goin out now...to teach a student then meet up with my frens to eat at Jap Marche!! Ciaozzzz!!

Wonderful Rainy Saturday...

Woooo...everybody is enjoying the kek lapis! WOhoOOooo!! Happy Happy Happy!! Once you start eating, you can't stop!

I tested my Glucose in the morning, had a shock!



It was never so low..i didnt believe it...So i pricked myself again!


My 2nd time reading is higher...maybe i tested it on more blood....

I tink bitter gourd tea really works! I drank it last nite...~~

We love spaghetti with salmon and swiss button mushroom! The salmon is cooked just nice, when we put into our mouths, it just simply melts...Whoahhh...~~~

Only 8 Egg Whites... Sorry ah...it look like the "small business"


330g of butter and 200g of sugar

Used a hand whisk instead of a beater to cream them, my arms are aching now


Got to add in 1 egg yolk at a time and whisk, repeat the steps 15 times!

Conclusion:

This is my 2nd time baking this. The 1st time, i'm still a new bird, it's the first cake in my life, it was underbaked and came in huge layers as i didn't love baking that much at that time.

As for my 2nd attempt, i feel my love for baking and the layers turned out thin and fine. Love to look at the many many many layers. However, I've also learnt that, do not bake the lower layers till 100% cooked. I was kiasu and baked them till 101% cooked, and in the end the bottom 2 layers turned out to be crusty! HAHA..

It's really fragrant! I ate 2 pieces...feel so bad now...! My mum tried too and said "GOOD!" Other than Boyf, she is another fan of my bakes. HEHE..Thanks to all my guinea piggies!!!

And heard that it's best to serve it the next day, as it will be more oily and moist...nicer! Boyf will be coming tmr to eat them!! HOHOHO!!!

Recipe from Moms4Moms Forum's Mummykoala :


15 egg yolks
8 egg whites
3.5 oz self raising flour
250g icing sugar (I only used 200g)
12 oz butter ( I used Anchor unsalted butter, but supposed to use salted butter)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essense
1/2 teaspoon Kueh Lapis powder (Rempeh Lapis)
4 tablespoons condensed milk
1/2 tablespoon brandy

1) Beat icing sugar and butter till high soft peak. Then beat in egg yolk one at a time.

Add vanilla essense, kueh lapis powder. condensed milk, wine and beat. Add self raising flour tablespoon by tablespoon. Mix and pour in another bowl.

2) Beat egg white till high soft peak. Add mixture from step 1. Use a wooden spoon to beat/mix.

3) Preheat oven for 5 mins at 180 C. Use grill function. Grease the pan (I use 8x8 square pan). Scoop 4-5 tbsp of batter into pan and bake for 2 mins. Remove and press cake evenly. Repeat till batter finished.

4) Cool for a while when finished. While cake is warmed, Place obsorbent paper towel on top to allow excess butter to flow to towel.

~~Review on Organic Shampoos~~

I've been having Hair loss problem since I'm in pri sch. After my first hair drop experience, it really freaked me out. And my school teachers thought i have cancer. I cant find pictures of me at that time. But i can tell you its really scary, washing my hair is a nitemare! Hair everywhere! the floor was already full of hair and it piled up to the side of the walls.

Nowadays, im very into organic products and have been searching and trying on different brands. No more commercial shampoos for me, as i can see a difference now.

First,


It cost about $39 dollars for 500ml. Have a very strong lemon grass scent. I lost quite alot of hair after every wash. So i went on to search for others.


This Egyptian Henna Shampoo cost around $26, for 325ml. It's for lifeless, fine and limp hair, and helps in doubling the volume of the hair. I can really see a difference after my first try...my hair looks more PONG! My hair dropped quite abit on my first try...maybe 30 strands?? 2nd time better....

Miessence is quite a famous brand i guess. This lemony scent shampoo cost $29 for 250ml from an organic online store, but found it at Living Pharmacy and they are selling like 7 dollars cheaper! This is another good one, my hair feel stronger during and after the wash, and it minimises my hair loss. But hair will be abit stiff after drying up.

NOTE: All these shampoos are for oily scalp and hair. (The above are my personal opinions and views only)

My Piano's Bathing Day!!

2 Fat Fats Caught Dining at Ichiban Sushi!

Supposed to eat at Boyf's house, but his mama didnt cook. So we decided to eat out!

I WAITED........10 Mins.....

I'M STILL WAITING........20 Mins....

Asked Waitress to check for us.....She said 3 more mins....

30 mins....I'm still WAITING!! I was beginning to feel restless, I've sat at that spot for more than an hour! 30 mins waiting for Boyf and more than 30 mins for my food. WHY AM I STILL WAITING?? They simply forgotten, but didn't admit it. Need so much time to prepare a paper steamboat? I doubt so....

And after the long wait!!



Happy me with a double chin saying "itadakimasu", mine is Paper steamboat with salmon, unagi, tamago,leeks, cabbage.




After dinner, Boyf went to cut his hair and i went to ntuc to buy some stuffs...


Boyf wana make new specs...so i accompanied him.


I FEEL SO TEMPTED MYSELF AND I MADE A NEW PAIR TOO!!!!!! Oh my goodness....i just made a new pair last month!! And i wanna make permenant contact lense this saturday too! My savings plan...GONE CASE....Anybody wanna sponsor me??hehe.

I'm So Proud Of My Own Wholemeal Loaf!!



Since I've tried on so many bread recipes b4, i decided to make my own creation, my "wholemeal AGA AGA measurement loaf" ! And hope that it could fill up my pullman tin!

Sardines Sardines Sardines!!

After a long search, finally found sardines in water in an organic grocery shop!! I can see sardines in tomato sauce everywhere, but nt in water.



I quickly grabbed 2 cans!




The price is kind of STEEP....$6.90...for such a small can...

It goes really well with my salad!!
