Banana Chiffon Cake Again!


Normally, i'm not an adventurous person.
Watever ingredients i have at home, I'll use it! HAHA...

So there's some banana sitting on the dining table,
DING DONG!
Banana chiffon cake!

But i didnt use the same pan...
i used a square pan this time round! =D





My mummy and boyf said that banana's fragrance is not enough..
SO its not my fault hor...
It's the banana's fault...HAHAHAHA
I feel that its not springy enough...
But my brother said its nice!!!
he seldom say that to me leh~~

My Bz and Wonderful Friday!

Had non stop activities today, from 10am - 11pm.
Phew...Work...Exercise...Bake...Family time!



Green Tea Chiffon Cake with Chocolate Chips




















That's all the steps for making a chiffon cake.
It's not that hard..and not easy too..hehe
For mine, I should have put the choco chip in after i put the mixture into the pan.
In the end all choco chip sank to the bottom.

The bread dough was really very soft & sticky...very hard to handle..







I still suck at cutting bread, but...my new knife is now blunt! =(
got to get a new knife again..




Wonder wat's this? What are all these chairs doin at the balcony?

My Bakes For Today


Followed the recipe of Cake Bread from this book, it belongs to my elder sis...I've tried to bake Cake Bread b4, but didnt succeed...Very lousy....

I changed the recipe abit...make the bread into green tea bread, just add greentea powder to water.


Nice green colour b4 proofing.


It doubled in size after 1 1/2 hour

Shape into swiss roll style and ready for 2nd proofing


It rose abit too high, so there were not much space for the chocolate sponge batter.


It came out quite nice in shape but when i get it out, it tore a little..sponge was abit overbake, bread underbaked... SOB SOB SOB


I used the leftover batter to make another small cake, this is baked just nice, and spongy!


OK back to the pullman tin's cake bread,


HEHE..sorry...abit out of shape...


Had some left over egg whites from the kek lapis which i baked last week. Kind of made my own recipe for this Chocolate Egg White Cake..AND I FORGOTTEN TO PUT OIL!!!! So the result of not adding any oil....LOOK BELOW...


A super dry cake!!!!!! SOB SOB SOB SOB SOB...so upset with all my bakes today...

I should have done someting else instead of baking. I should have revised my work and studied...SIGH...

Baking Baking and More Baking!! =)




I took a cab and rushed home from work...tink im crazy about baking!! When i reached, I baked straight away!



PANDAN CHIFFON CAKE



Fresh from oven!



I quickly inverted it by placing the thermal flask into the pan hole...




After about an hour of cooling...it didnt shrink...




My cakes are always cracked =(


the texture is super good! i tink the best that i've ever made..!



Conclusion: I used the kind of packed coconut milk which is supposed to mix with water, but guess i added too much coconutmilk...and theres a kind of...ermmm......Goat's milk taste...that's the minus point...other than that....everyting is fine! I will try to use fresh coconut squeezed milk next time round... (RECIPE FROM REI REI)









NEXT ON THE MENU..............






Mixed Herb Wholemeal Loaf


After 15mins of kneading, the dough is ready for 1st proofing...




After proofing....it doubled in size...




Divided into 3 portions and rolled them up in swiss roll style...





2nd proofing...nearly filled up the whole tin...



Ready to go into the oven! It smells so good while being baked!



Disappointed after i opened the cover, it didnt fill up the whole pan...





Conclusion: I will use 400g of flour for all my loaf breads to fill up my pullman's tin...i want a rectangular loaf!!!!!! This mixed herb bread will be best when spreaded with butter/canola oil magarine. And will be good if its toasted!
