Walnut + Almond Paste

This is my first time making walnut paste..
got the recipe from my auntie...
and i changed the amount accordingly...

200g of walnut, 60g rice flour, 160g sugar, 6 cups of water
I even added grounded almonds...


Blend it~~
And u will get a milky colour...
Used rocked sugar instead of granulated sugar...
the amount depends on how sweet you want it to be..


Boil it...and it will thicken up..
You will get this creamy kind of paste!


If you want a finer paste without any residues...
sieve it!
i didn't sieve it though...


so there's like tiny bites of almond and walnuts~~!

I will wanna try almond paste soon!!

Egg Tarts Again!


I tink this is my 4th time baking egg tarts...
But i dont bake good ones...
so sad...
when i see other blogger's egg tarts,
i feel that mine are really ugly...
my next challenge will be...

PORTUGUESE EGG TARTS!!!!

Mochi~~~~ FAILED~~~~

Mochiko...~From Daiso...
Just $2!


Super duper sweet Korean strawberry from ntuc..


Red Bean Paste..This is from daiso too..~~


And i made it into the mochi dough...
Ermm..really soft...
Too soft till I cant mould..


B4 we start to mould the mochis...
We finished all the strawberries!
cos it's such a waste if we dont eat it plain...


Out of shape mochis..
Feel so lousy~~



And we ate this,
so nice leh!
seaweed cracker..
its really a good bargain..
whole packet for just $2!


Yum Yum~~CRUNCHINESS here and there...
quickly go buy from daiso!!

I'm goin to make baked rice & baked linguine for dinner!!

My Bread Pudding

I watched this taiwanese show few months ago,
And the celebrities were using bread to make some food.
One of them is bread pudding..
Very easy to make...

Just use 1 part of egg : 2 parts of water
Put some sugar syrup( According to the sweetness u want)
Tear bread into pieces
Sprinkle some raisins..
Send into the steamer for 30 mins.
DONE!

Actually to make it nicer, should sprinkle sugar on top,
use a burner and caramelize it..
But i dont have that, and lazy to bake again..


So this is how it looks like..


And guess wat,
It looks nice....
BUt taste like some bland custard..HAHAHAHA
Not enough sugar..!!!

Dorayaki & Fried Prawn Cake!


I made some Dorayaki!
This is my first try~~
with my lao gong!
Some Chao da...


Taste wise is OKOK..haha...



Now i have the whole bucket of red bean paste!
I made it from scratch~~

I used Baking Mum's skin recipe,
& Pure enjoyment's red bean paste recipe.



Next...


They are frying some prawn cake!
Actually i dont know wat is it called..
Mummy teaching son in law how to fry it..


Son in law try to manage on his own...


Oily~~





It's really very nice!!!!!
I cant resist it!!!!!!

Egg Tartzzzz!


It wasn't a smooth bake day. Made the tartz dough b4 i go to work in the morning.

My effort gone right into the drain, cos the new moulds I bought from Ph**on H*** cant be used! I came back at nite, was happily moulding the shells, I found paint and residues on the dough then realised my whole hand was black and dirty. It damaged my dough till its inedible! So I got to make a new one =(

But lucky boyf helped me and tings turned out well =) I have a helpful boyf!!!!

Yellowish egg yolk mixture...Nice rite...That's the best part of an egg tart!

This extra big tart is for my beloved Boyf~~



Heart Shape Eggie Tartz...

I tink i've overbaked it abit, the egg filling is not so wobbly...

Bought new muffin cups 2 days ago, and had a packet of milk in the fridge

So why not bake someting? dont waste the milk? hehe



Baked these orange muffins again...


I've not eaten it but it smells really nice....

Today im in baking mood again! and i met these with my remaining food too..!
