Rosemary Lemon Roasted Chicken & Potatoes (Part Two)

And the very next day's late afternoon...
the chicken is ready to be baked!


prepared the potatoes which were baked together with the chicken



Stuffed the pierced hot lemon into the cavity...



And ready to go into the oven for the first round!
for like 40 mins...



out from the oven...
it already had a nice coloured skin...






But it's not enough...got to turn the chicken over and send it back to the oven...
It have to go in thrice!



And finally after 1hr 20 mins...
it's done!



The potatoes absorbed all the essence of the chicken & rosemary...
Weeeeeeeeee....WOoooooooooo....!!



And i can't wait to eat it! hehehehe...

it was a bit crusty and super woooper soft and fluffy in there...

Now look at the chicken's skin...
when you bite into it..u will know how is it like...
Crack Crack Crack...with a hint of fragrance from the seasonings...



Lastly lets look at the breast meat...
Still succulent & moist...not dry at all!!



Let me tell you....
this is truly a....

Killer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rosemary Lemon Roasted Chicken & Potatoes (Part One)

I'm always watching the Asian Food Channel...
& Caucasians love to use herbs like..
rosemary...thyme...cumin...basil e.t.c in their dishes...

I saw Jamie Oliver in Naked Chef roasting a chicken in his own unique way one day...
And just nice, i saw happy home baking roasting a chicken using Jamie Oliver's way...
So..i decided to try it!



I prepared the chicken a night before...
These are the stuffs i've used to marinate the whole chicken...
lemon rind..black pepper...salt and the most important role..ROSEMARY!!
Super duper fragrant!!



I actually handled the whole chicken,
including cutting it's nails, washing the cavity...and the most disgusting part is...
CUTTING THE HEAD!!!
I kept saying sorry to the chicken...And i will not wanna do it again!
I became weak after I did that...
OK..forget about all these...
back to yummy chicken and fragrant herbs...

The seasoning was distributed all over the chicken...



On the skin....




in the cavity....





And even under the chicken skin!



It smells like the turkey we've bought last xmas...
and i started to have the nostalgic feeling again...
Wooooo..~~




Cling wrap it..
Sent to the fridge to sit overnight...
about 20 hours...

Stir Fried Dang Hoon

This was one of my lunch last week..
These are all the ingredients~~like shredded chicken..all kinds of mushrooms...



A really big bowl!




Transparent Dang Hoon...
I like the crunchiness...
but the quantity was too big,
I couldn't finish it...!

Honey Cake


Another wonderful cake recipe to share!
It uses the simplest ingredients..
merely just 2 tbsp of oil, honey, cake flour, eggs and sugar...
I omitted cream of tartar~~



The browned top layer of the cake is quite sticky,
and it got stuck onto my cooling rack...
maybe due to the honey or low oil amount used...






I can say that the texture is nearly as good as the cottony cheesecake~~
and definitely not as sinful...



Such an enjoyment to have a slice for tea...



you really got to try it to know how's the feeling like...

Fatty...I mean I'm the fatty....



Yuckie!!


And now...she lost 6kgs...in 2 month's time...
Proud sis with her 51kg weight...haha..!!


& this is me...lost 15kgs....

Now 65kg...

Boil it in the water for 3-5mins...
Let it cool down for 15 mins...
and ready to drink...






Satisfied customer...
hehe...!!
he will get to drink it once a week~~!

Salmon Porridge

My lunch for ytd....
Salmon Porridge with Greens and Carrots!



Didn't add any seasoning~~
just add water to the porridge, bring to a boil,
add fish...and boil again...
add greens and carrots in last...boil for the last time....
& serve...



I love the colour combination...



Fish from wet markets definitely taste better than the ones bought from marts



If you find it too bland, you can top it with preserved olives...



My favourite part of the salmon...THE BELLY!!!

Hmmmm......

I've not been driving....
since few months ago...after a few incidents on the road....
I'm scared...u can say i'm chicken...but it's truely scary~

And today...finally!
Drove my mummy to the market...
Ooooowww....i tell u...........the feeling is really......
ermm...how can i describe that....overwhelming??



My hands and legs turned real cold and was trembling a bit...



HELP ME!!!
But i managed to survive till we reach home...HAHA...
I will try harder the next time!
